Gail "Big Boy" Hester

Gail "Big Boy" Hester, born and raised in Round Rock, opened his automotive repair business in 1960 at the age of 22.  Big Boy is a recognized business leader in Round Rock and received the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award.

As a long time member of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce, Big Boy hosts the Chamber Fishing Trip that is offered at the annual Chamber auction.  He has also hosted the Chamber's Business After Hours event.



Big Boy was an instrumental part of the business leaders that helped land the Round Rock Express triple A baseball team in Round Rock.  He is also well known for hosting unforgettable parties at the shop that have brought the likes of the world famous fiddler Johnny Gimble, and baseball greats Nolan Ryan, Jackie Moore, and Burt Hooten.

In March 2007, Big Boy was recognized as a Local Legend by the City of Round Rock.
